Thoughts? Which team will win a championship before the other?

The Lakers and Sixers are in very similar positions.

Both will have great cap space next year, both teams average age is 23.x. The average age for a championship team is 28. The youngest average age is 26 I believe.

The West isn't getting any easier, and depending on what LeBron does the East could even get "Easier."

If LeBron does move to a Western team I think Silver would change the playoff system.

This next year is going to be big. Whoever gets the best free agents has the best chance. However assuming a rebuild and growth of talent only even though Simmons is amazing, I'd put my money on the Lakers new front office, facilities, and focus on health. I have no idea what the Sixers are doing to Fultz.

It's pretty even right now but the Lakers are much more likely to attract top free agents, so gotta with them.

Sixers. The East is already severely weakened and once LeBron bolts west to LA it'll be even moreso. And I think the Western conference playoffs will be a complete dogfight that the East winner will likely be beat up less, and I say that's the difference for the Sixers.

Who was the last top free agent the Lakers attracted?

Artest back in 2009? Not sure he was considered a top free agent still at that point but it's the only one I could think of.

Oh brother, that old chestnut again.

This is like the 4th iteration of "Lebron is going to the Lakers".
-After his rookie deal
-when he went to Miami
-when he went back to Cleveland

Oh well, maybe since the Lakers got Durant and Westbrook as free agents like I kept hearing that will entice Lebron to join.

Lakers only need to get the next two Ball boys. Then they'll win a championship behind L'Melo's ROY campaign and Lonzo's MVP campaign. And the middle guys sixth man of the year campaign.
