Nobody wants to be traded twice and switch to his 3rd team in 4 yrs. I watched the documentary recording Derrick Rose receiving call from his agent, telling him the trade msg. It's like killing him.

There is a difference between being traded where unless there is a no trade clause the player has no control over the situation or signing somewhere as a free agent. The player has the control regarding free agent signing. Look at KD or LeBron James and examples on that.
Lavar has long said he wants to see his kids all playing on the same NBA team. If the Hornets make an offer he could go there. And if they are both are there less likely LeMelo wants to leave. And perhaps the 3rd brother one day makes it up to the NBA and joins them.
The Hornets still have a huge gap from the top team. Last night without KD, Jordan, Griffin and Harden, Nets still won them by 22 pts. A long long way to go.
Brooklyn has the best record in the east with their big 3 playing very few games together healthy. I think there is a big gap between them and all the other teams. And adding Aldridge and Griffin without having to give up anything does not hurt either.
Nets will probably 3-peat, and comfortably.
They'll probably be healthy for the playoffs each year, because its so easy to rest their stars during the regular season while still finishing high enough to get home-court ad.
I think it would be a good milestone for the team to get in the playoffs. Regardless of how they do. Only reason that it would be better to miss the playoffs would be getting a higher draft pick. And LeMelo might be back in time for the playoffs. But if they end up with the Nets, Sixers or Bucks in the first round they not winning that series with or without LeMelo.
The 2nd road trip doesn't look too bad either so far. It's 2-2. I guess they gave up the two losses strategically. After the trip is over, they will have 14 games at home and just 7 games on the road occasionally. And the 7 are all in the East Conf.
So I would say they are in very good shape, b/c still 3 more game winning ahead of No. 9 and only a third of regular season is left. Thus keep working hard and the playoff seat will be secured.
The poor Hornets. Bad news this weekend with Gordon Hayward being out potentially 4 weeks with an ankle injury. Monk is also injured and LaMelo is rehabbing his fractured hand. An exciting team may have just come off the rails.
^They fight too hard. They have used up all the talents and efforts to rise this season. Haywood can still return in May to play the final 10 games.
