1 parish and city with one idea......... Co-leading and moving forward as a city and parish in one image no mater who lives here now or in the future.

Except for the fact that the Parish also contains 3 other cities . Try again .

Not like the current alignment makes any sense to begin with.

If anything, the actual whole city of BR should be central not what central is atm. BR being in EBR, never made sense to me, as BR is not East of itself.

I've thought about it, but there would still be the other cities (more than 3) in the parish. But it would just be adding a bunch of people who don't care about the forward moving of Baton Rouge and who would demolish many plans to move forward, mainly because it would include tax increases.

Maybe because it's East of the Mississippi river ? As West B.R. Parish is West of the river .

Wow , way to insult tens of thousands of people . Anyway , It's not about tax increases my friend . It's about HOW the taxes are spent .

Yea, but then why not called it West River Parish and East River Parish, it would be more logical that way

It's true, many of them wouldn't care about paying Baton Rouge taxes for something 30 miles away that they won't use. My parents included.

As far as WBR is concerned, I've also thought about annexing parts of WBR directly across the river but Port Allen stands in the way. Always thought it to be strange how there's almost nothing across the river unlike most other cities. (SBC, NOLA, Monroe)

Then someone would confuse it with the River Parishes. On that note, is EBR and Ascension considered part of the River Parishes or the Florida Parishes?
