Whats the deal???? Metro Baton Rouge (pop 802,484)
is the 65th largest metropolitan area in the U.S. But it ranks 2nd in the nation for its rate of HIV infections, second only to Metro Miami... The rate of HIV in Metro BR actually higher than that of Metro D.C. ,Metro L.A.,Metro New Orleans or even metro N.Y.C....

Clearly we need to raise taxes. That's the only way to solve a problem in this country.

When I went to LSU in the late 90's, the statistics on HIV were the same then! Baton Rouge and New Orleans always rank high in infection rates. It's why LSU had safe sex lectures that took over freshman, sophomore classes for one day each semester. Sad to see it's still high.

When's the last time you (not necessarily you) remembered about one of those classes when you had that last one night stand?

Well, it's the metro area...so it includes all the surrounding parishes and EBR. Not just "Baton Rouge".

But this encourages premarital sex. This is awful.
