Geismar (New Orleans, Baton Rouge: college, living in, moving to)

Hello All,

I am looking into possibly moving to Geismar (or close) for a job opportunity.

I'm in my 30's, single, professional, with no children. I'm pretty active outdoors and like to tool around on my motorcycle every now and again. Also, I like the night scene as well....or at least the opportunity to "do" the night scene if I desire.

I'm used to big cities (and kind of like them...Miami, Austin, Phoenix), but a blend of quiet town is fine with me also.

Other then me going out there and looking for myself...do you think I have a chance?? lol

Dating scene, night life, activities???

I don't want to travel hours to do fun stuff (above activities).

I know...vague question...just blurt out any of your comments if you have them.

The nightlife is aimed at younger crowds, primarily college aged. There are events going on that you can check out at 225magazine.com but they don't list everything. Plus, you're on the closer end to New Orleans and can get there in under an hour with no traffic.
I assume your taking a plant job? You could also entertain the possibility of living in South Baton Rouge, close to Geismar and has more going on, plus traffic would be light going out of the city during peak hours.

There's nothing to do in Geismar . South B.R. is your best bet .
