True, Bend certainly has a good PR team!

IMO underneath the exaggerations and over simplifications these links often have is a really cool town that has uniquely appealing qualities that keep it on so many of these "best of " lists.

Absolutely! I also find that people tend to get on the Internet or respond in comments to complain, more than to praise.

I absolutely agree! Yeah, sometimes I really wish these publications weren't out there, so we could keep our favorite places a little secret. However, I'm not naive enough to believe will actually happen.
