This is it! Turned in my keys today... Sold/mostly gave away most of my 'things' (stored a few bits of memories)... niece's dog has a good new home... electric goes off tomorrow... catching the 'altzhiemer's express' (senior bus) @7:20 am... short stop in Sun River... then off to Portland/Vancouver. visit fams (who knows how long til they let me go?)... then pdx to koa!!!

That's nice of you to offer, and there are also quite a number of folks here who have lived on the Big Island for a long time, and folks who have been posting here for years.
Posting questions here where anyone can answer them is how it works, and that way different people with different views can all contribute, and then people who come along later can share in the same info.
