i want to plant two sandalwood trees in kihei but havenot found any on maui i heard a guy in paradise park sells seedlings does any one know how to find him i think his name is robinson

You might also try contacting the Amy B. H. Greenwell Ethnobotanical Gardens in Kona. They have native plant sales, often give free seedlings away at events and have a horticulturist available to assist with procuring anything they don't have.

Try the University of Hawaii Agricultural Extension Service. Also the Audubon Society.

A friend is going to Hilo today to look for sandalwood tress as well as some bonsai trees, so if he finds any, I'll report back.

Hmmmm..just saw a whole bunch for sale at the Volcano Farmer's market. Not sure where the seller was from but he had alot as well as many native plants. The Volcano Farmer's market is every Sunday 6-9 am.

Default Hawaian Sandal and Koa tree seeds

My knowledge has increased with curiosity to look for hawaiian Sandalwood and Koa tree seeds, i shall really appreciate if anyone can guide and provide links on fresh seeds to buy or get from any source to grow and add to my rare small garden,

There are a bynch of juvenile Koa growing at the Namakanipaio Campground which is just south of the Volcano Park entrance.
Not sure if you are "allowed" to gather seeds there, but I have. Do so at your own risk.

The Dept. of Land and Natural Resource office in Waimea has Sandalwood, Koa and much more. You'll have to purchase in quantity (10 minimum) but they only cost $3 each so well worth it.
