Default working in calera looking for where to live

My nephew will be working in Calera and needs to know where to rent an apartment? He is in is late 20's and would love a young neighborhood and walking distance to shops and some night life. Is there anywhere near Calera anyone can suggest or do you think he needs to live in Hoover or Southside somewhere? Thanks for any help in this decision.

Live in Southside.....and be willing to drive...here's the good news.

Drive OUT in the morning, when everyone else is driving IN.

Drive IN in the afternoon, when everyone else is driving OUT.

Tell him to look around Southside and don't look back....

I have a cousin who is a chemical engineer in Houston. The plant is in Pasadena. He told me the best move he ever made was moving DOWNTOWN...lots to do and the drive is a snap....
