Does anyone know of a local company that does trash/recycling pickups? I saw an earlier thread, but the OP didn't post what happened!

I just moved to Hoover and I'm apparently in a pocket neighborhood that isn't covered. I've tried calling several large companies (Santek, Republic, Trash Taxi, etc) and they say they don't do residential pickups. I'm hoping there's a smaller company that I can contract with. Heck, at this rate, I'll settle for a few guys and a pickup truck.

How have other folks dealt with this? I'm hoping that I don't have to drive out to a landfill once a week.

I also live in unincorporated JeffCo. I use Advanced Disposal. It costs somewhere around $45 per quarter for weekly trash pickup. I haven't had any problems with them. They don't offer recycling pickup, at least where I am. The only option that I could find for recycling was to bring it to the Birmingham Recycling Center. But sometimes there are restrictions; for example, right now you can't bring glass.

I live in unincorporated JeffCo as well and use Advanced Disposal. We haven't had any issues. They pick up here every Monday and as eveless mentioned, it's about $45ish a quarter.

Thanks, guys! I ended up going with Advanced Disposal. I heard that the Recycling Center might be moving or getting a satellite location in Hoover, so I'll cross my fingers for that.
