This morning on TWC it showed a BMW burning on a road in Atlanta early this morning. They said that the man said the car caught fire because the guy was spinning his tires so much that it set the car on fire... the road was snow/ice covered, it is possible it got this hot? What had me puzzled is that the front of the car was burning... I am thinking that all or most BMWs are rear wheel drive, am I wrong?
Here is a link I found, I havent listened to it to see what they said on this news, but TWC said it was from him spinning his tires.
That said... What kind of stupid moron does something like that? *shakes head*
Obviously some one with enough money to buy a BMW but not enough sense to buy snow tires or not enough sense to understand that if your wheels are spinning on ice putting the gas pedal to the floor is not going to end well.
Hope the idiots insurance denies him coverage..

The kind of stupid moron I grew up amongst in Atlanta many years ago. People this dumb do indeed exist. I saw them first-hand. They are real. It's scary actually. Did you ever see the movie "Idiocracy"?
At least half the population there just has no idea whatsoever how to handle snow. They barely know what to call it.

Whilel I'm not going to defend the guy, it's positively stupid to buy specialized snow tires in a location that gets maybe a week of snow every 5 years "Snow is not seen every year and averages 2.5 inches (6.4 cm) annually."
