4 Family Members Killed After Car Runs Red Light - Local News | News Articles | National News | US News - FOXNews.com
20 year old driver of a Mini Cooper ran a red light and hit the sid of a minivan carrying a family of four. All four in the van were killed. The driver of the mini cooper lived. Wonder how fast he was driving? I honestly hope the hospital staff dilutes his pain medicine to increase his pain and suffering.

4 killed in Lakeville Highway crash | PressDemocrat.com | The Press Democrat | Santa Rosa, CA
this one has a photo of the van. It WAS a Nissan Quest and from the description, it sounds like the 20 year old was probably racing.

This is quite ironic. I would think it would be the other way around.

I don't think the Nissan Quest had side impact airbags but the Cooper does have front and side airbags. I guess from the photo that he hit them right between the front and back door. Judging from the photo, seatbelts would not have made a difference for the family. It was a horrible wreck.

The 2004 and newer Quest had good side impact rating. Judging by the offset crash test photos of the 1993 to 2003 Quest, it would have completely failed a side impact crash test.

Did you fail to notice the slight detail of the mini going 90mph?

Ironic and horrible. It makes me feel better about my daughter-in-law driving a Mini though.

According to the second article, the driver of the mini was considered brain dead. Darwin at its worst. Too bad he won't live to see what he did.

Sounds like he was brain dead before the accident.
