Well not quite. Yes, flash flooding can happen but that affects the foothills and is more common later in the year.

The flooding issues that affect the river and Eagle are what we are ABOUT to get. Lots of snow pack and quick warming weather. We have the snow pack and it's only a matter of time till it warms up. Since we gave had below normal temps for more than a month, when it warms up, and it WILL, the snow pack will melt quickly. THATs when the flooding occurs.

Boise River is currently experiencing some flooding in some areas. Follow the local news for more information. zoso1979 is right...it is in the mountains and it WILL come down at some point. I really hope it warms up very very sloooowly.
