I thought Qwest bought out AT&T. I remember that at our office and at home, we used to have AT&T service, and then the bills started saying Qwest and we never moved our service. So I assumed Qwest bought them.

Nope, my dad had high speed cable internet with AT&T when it first came out in the treasure valley (our neighborhood was one of the first to have the fiber optic lines installed) and then it got automatically moved to Cable One. Qwest might have handled some of the other aspects for a bit but the I-net service definitely was taken over by Cable One.

Ours were phones, so maybe Cableone got their internet department and Qwest got their phone department??
