I think my mom had like a million of these. I don't think I have them anymore though.

Maybe you'll get more recommendations from the book section of CD?

I don't read romance normally so I can't help. Though I DO like me some trashy novels when on vacation!

I'm reading the The Last Valentine by Jame Michael Pratt right now.

It's a great story about love that endures

Are you talking bodice-rippers, or truly great works?

Do you mean shelf-filling "romance novels", or great classics with a romantic theme? For the latter, a few options that immediately come to mind:

- The Red and the Black, Stendhal
- Middlemarch, Eliot
- Anna Karenina, Tolstoy
- Dr. Zhivago, Pasternak
- Jane Eyre, Bronte
- Camille, Dumas
- Love in the Time of Cholera, Marquez

I can get into both as long as they're good so recommend away.

I should probably state that I like humans in my romance novels, so please no novels about vampires or other non-human creatures.
