All the way to the end? There hasn't been one since High School required reading, and Ivanhoe springs to mind.
Maybe "Pillars of the Earth", which I think I dragged myself through right to the end. "Lonesome Dove" got so bad half way through, I'm pretty sure I gave up. I was traveling at the time and had nothing else, so I think I also endured "Far Pavilions" all the way to the end, but maybe not.
It's funny how different people react to different things. I've heard dozens of people who loved Pillars of the Earth, though I've never read it. Lonesome Dove, on the other hand, was a great book to me. I laughed out loud so many times my husband thought I was demented.
Poland by James Michener. His books can be interesting but reading Poland was drudgery.
War and Peace. Brutal. Absolutely brutal. Granted, I was about 21 when I read it and maybe didn't have the mindset for it. Nowadays that would be a 7 book series.

Oh I forgot about Pillars of the Earth. I made it half way through and just couldn't take it anymore. I recall it being an "Oprah's Pick" back when I cared about what she had to say. After "Pillars" I decided I'll never read one of her lame suggestions again.
I read Catcher in the Rye back when I was in high school and panned it in a book report, which my English teacher couldn't believe. A redneck farm girl who started working in the fields as a little kid just doesn't relate well to some spoiled little rich boy's pathetic problems. I've thought about re-reading 40+ years later but why bother?
I still have my book report of Catcher in the Rye from high school. I basically said Holden was a whiny buttwipe. I hated that book.
