Has anyone tried a book pillow? It is soft, stuffed fabric shaped like a tent, with a ledge all around to prop up the book and prevent book slipping.

Thinking this might be good for hardbacks, especially thick ones.

Or is it useless???

Saw it FRESH FINDS catalog.

I never heard of one. I can see it being helpful like you said for heavier hardbacks. I know it would save me from dropping the book on my chest/face when I nod off

I use a small pillow that's stuffed with buckwheat hulls. It's kind of like those old ashtrays whose bottoms were filled with sand. It keeps the book in a stable place on my lap and it's uncomplicated.

Think I'll try one...
those hardback books with 500 or so pgs. seem like they weigh 25 lbs...no way to hold one upright for very long...

I'd never heard of this. I could see it would be helpful with a very thick hardback.

Not sure I get what the point is. Where do books slip for you?

Received it...

give it a C+...not so good for big tomes...the indented part (to stand book on) not deep enough for lg. books

but it's awesome for my tablets and smaller books, esp. crossword puzzles
