Anyone out there a fan?
I just began his "Everything Changes."
It will be followed by "This Is Where I Leave You."
Now, Tropper's settings are different from Russo's.
A bit of Nick Hornby, Brett Easton Ellis, a smidgen of Dave Eggers.
Think urban, wry sense of humor, tragi-comedy.
Bad things might happen; they seem accessible rather than operatic.
Tropper has a light touch, yet his characters are by no means cardboard.
Family scenes are chaotic but loving; I especially like his female characters.
