Hello,
My fiance and I are going to be moving to Boston in September, and we're looking for some advice regarding apartments/locations etc.
We're looking for an apartment, ideally 2 bedrooms, that allows large dogs (50 pounds).
I will need to have access to public transportation, I will be going to school in Waltham.
We would just like to know some nice areas where we could walk our dog, and be able to afford a decent 2 bedroom apartment. Our budget is $1500 a month.
Any advice/ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Since no one answered I will take a shot at it and maybe get hammered for the comment but here goes- you may do better finding something in Waltham with the dog. Look for larger apt complexes as they tend to be more pet friendly because they need to fill a large number of apartments and will take people with pets. Can you fudge the dogs weight? Most rentals in "Boston" area that will take a dog and there are not many will have a weight restriction as well as a breed restriction. They do not take certain breeds. The dog will be a major problem in finding a decent rental. Two companies I know that accept dogs but possibly with restrictions are Forest properties and Delphi and only in certain buildings. The properties would be in Allston. The area known as Beacon Hill is filled with dogs, but it could be that they are owners of condos and not renters, but you may try a rental in that area. It is a nice area to live in if you don't need to park a car. Good luck
