Hi Everyone!

I'm planning to travel from Burlington Vermont to Boston this weekend and leave Boston on Sunday around 3pm.

Do you think there will be any problem with Irene? Should I cancel my trip to Boston?

Thanks for your advices!

Kevin

Other than gale-force winds, torrential downpours and downed trees/powerlines, it should be a great day.

At best you can expect a rainy crappy weekend, at worst you are putting yourself in a potentially dangerous situation. I don't know what you are planning on doing but you should probably consider rescheduling it. Even if Irene weakens or isn't a direct hit, it will still be horrible weather.

Driving to BOS in a hurricane sucks. We drove through Opal in 1995. It was so bad we had to get off at Framingham and take route 9.

Actually, may I suggest reservations at the new Legal Seafoods in the Seaport District. I hear their roof-deck is great!

LOL might be the only way you're getting up there. It's been packed since it opened.

I'd heard much earlier today the worst of it in Boston would be noon to 4pm. Not sure if we've had updates since...

Just heard that Logan doesn't plan on closing unlike the NY airports.
