I don't feel like I have made a mistake. I like my place. It is not the last place I live in either.

While you have found a better option, if time is the issue and you were going to take the T, generally easier to drive to Alewife instead of Riverside, it's probably an extra 5-7 minutes in drive time, but it will save you about an hour in travel time compared to Riverside because of where you want to end up.

but I think it's $7 to park instead of $6.

but $4 at CSG is really the best option for you, I had no idea it was that cheap on the weekend, new thing to keep in mind.

While not the cheapest option it's probably the fastest.

From my place to Cambridgeside is about 68 miles roundtrip (68 miles * $0.38/mile) = $25.84.
Tolls would be probably $6.20.

Entry Interchange: 11A - Westborough (I-495).
Exit Interchange: 24 - I-93 N/S - South Station.

Cost to park at Cambridgeside was $4.00.

$36 and change. To drive to Cambridgeside Google Maps says that would take 43 minutes on a Saturday afternoon. I could probably do it quicker. There was no traffic. 3 minutes to find parking at Cambridgeside, 17 minutes to walk 0.9 of a mile to the field. A little over an hours time.

The drive to Alewife is about 67 miles roundtrip so I am not saving much there, but it would be a shorter walking distance to the field.

67 miles * $0.38/mile = $25.46.
Tolls if I get off at exit 14 from the pike would be $1.40.
Parking at Alewife is $7.00.
Then the cost of taking the red line to Charles/MGH and walking to the field ?

Really a wash. I would probably save a half a mile of walking but the cost would be around the same.
