Okay, the Twin Peaks mall is in serious need of a makeover and Pier One just closed down due to lack of business, but we have some great restaurants too and lots of lovely parks and the St Vrain Greenway, as well as golf courses, the Longmont Symphony Orchestra and a brand new Super Target. Check out City of Longmont, Boulder County, Colorado; Official Government Website and Recreation and Culture in Longmont, Colorado for more details.
Agreed! We live on the southwest side of town so very quick over to Boulder. It's peaceful, we are right by the pathway system which I love because I'm a runner. Good schools.
The mall is an issue (I didn't know Pier 1 closed) but hopefully they will get that resolved eventually. I'm not much of a mall person anyway. I'm not sure what the rental situation is like here. Occasionally a house is available for rent in our neighborhood, but that is very rare.

Pier One's location was a problem as people couldn't always figure out how to get there, but it'd be great if they just found a new one. Otherwise we'll be driving to Boulder or Loveland!

Craigslist is a good place for house rentals and coloproperty.com lists some as well.
