I think floyd should just stay in retirement, he is going to lose a match up with Manny and then there'll be excuses $h!t like, "ohh he would'nt have lasted in my prime" just like what de la hoya was saying. And thats what retirement is for. Its a no brainer, Manny will dust mayweather just like the previous opponents.
Im really looking for the this fight by the end of the year.. This is going to be one of the best fights..
Floyd taking marquez as his next opponent certainly means that they are preparing pacquiao.. If floyd can knock down marquez as pacquiao was unable to attain, then the pacquaio vs floyd will be the a real big bang for the boxing history.. I cant wait...
I picked Pacquiao to TKO Oscar, and I had him against Hatton too. And for one reason, beyond the genius of Freddie Roach, beyond Manny's speed and mobility in the ring, he's got that rare quality, rare even in a sport that you'd think would be a breeding ground for it; and that is a raging, boundless heart.
Not guts, how far you gonna get in the ring without an abundance of that? Not toughness, all fighters once they're in the upper echelons of the game must go beyond their comfort level...
Manny's true gift is that he is happy to be there, he actually loves to fight, he is grateful for the opportunities the world has given him and actually has no place he'd rather be. This guy's an inspiration, not just to fighters, but to all of us, as boxing is, at its best, the perfect metaphor for life.
