I think Manny gets past Cotto with a TKO in the late rounds. Should set up a megafight with Mayweather if Floyd doesn't look for a way out. Meanwhile there are some good fights to be made with Shane...Berto, Cintron, Williams, and Judah would all give him a run for his money. I think he beats Berto and Judah without breaking a sweat, but the other two fights can go either way. I give Paul Williams the edge over Shane. Should be an interesting fall/winter for boxing.
As much as I hate to admit it, I believe you're right. Freddie Roach must have seen something in Shane that spelled trouble, and figured the risk outweighed the reward. That's been one of Shane's biggest setbacks, he's not a big ticket seller, so guys like Mayweather and now Manny will avoid him if they can make less risky fights for bigger money. However, it still remains to be seen if Manny will or will not give him a shot down the road. I think he's just taking the biggest payday he can get right now.
