He did a long interview on Spanish TV this weekend in which he discussed it. He said it helps him both conserve energy and increase his endurance. He has done this for his last 5 or 6 fights, he said. It helps him recoup the vitamins he loses during heavy training.

I know that it's an Indian (Ayurvedic) therapy. Former Prime Minister Morarji Desai used to drink his own urine.
