They put the newly purchased items (clothing) on their bodies, leave their old shoes/clothing in boxes bags in our malls parking lots to avoid being questioned at customs. Don't you feel some type of way about this? Thoughts?
Why not just put out lots of "old clothes" deposit bins ( no undies or socks please) for them. Seriously, why not encourage them to buy here. It helps the economy.
I have no issue with them shopping here. Why would I? They are buying in our stores, eating in our restaurants, and staying in our hotels. It's a lot of money to help stimulate the local economy.
What they do at the border is between them and Canadian Customs.

I long wanted to set up bins for the salvation army at the malls so they can donate the clothes rather than throwing them away.
As for them shopping I have no issue with it. Why would I have an issue with our economy skyrocketing? Southern Ontario keeps this economy purring like a kitten.
Just how much of an impact do they have on our area?
-Nearly 50% of our Airport travel is Southern Ontario residents
-Malls
-Buffalo Bills games (20% of ticket holders)
-Sabres (Hamilton to the border leans Sabres)
-Golfing
-Skiiing
-Health care
-Education... (1/3 of D'Youville students are Canadian)
-Tourism...
I legit meet Canadians at local bars that rave about Buffalo as a cheap, close getaway. A Torontonian couple said they love the people and food here, so make a point to come once a month to shop, go out to eat, and enjoy the city at a discount price. Why would we want to stop any of this?

Well they are cheating their own Government out of money, not ours so I really don't care. I wish shopping centers would create a special unpacking area for them to dump their trash instead of it piling a mile high in the parking lot cans.
I think the shopping centers just care about Canadians buying items more than anything else. I guess they feel that they can deal with the mess that is made later.
