Hi all,

I am thinking of venturing down to the Broadway Market for the first time ever, on either Thursday or Friday when the kids are out of school.

Are there any places or things I must see/do/buy/taste? :-) I know the Market is rife with tradition for a lot of people, and I'd love to experience some of the classic Broadway Market!

Also, where do you park? I can use Google Maps to figure out how to get there from Williamsville, but once I'm down there, is there a parking lot, or will I have to park on the street?

Thanks for any help you can offer!

There's a parking ramp above the market (accessed from Gibson st, I believe). There's also plenty of street parking.

Thank you!

Colleen, I think we will try to go on Thursday. My dad also pointed out that it will be extra-crowded on Friday, as there will be even more out-of-towners/expatriates by then. :-)

Then again, I might just stay home -- I hate crowds!

Well, since others have mentioned things like parking and the crowds. I'll handle what to eat!

Get yourself a kielbasa sandwich over at Charlie the Butcher. I also like grabbing a danish over at White Eagle Bakery.

Other traditional things to get there that you'll see all over the place there are placek and of course butter lambs.

You can find me there one friday!

It's been a tradition in my family for decades. What an awesome polish market, it's always crowded around Easter and Christmas, yet has so much to offer!

Have lots of fun, I normally park in the ramp, it's easy access and normally has plenty of ample parking spots.

Have fun and enjoy!

(Try and go to every vendor possible, every one of them is so unique and great in its own way)!
