Agree. It's not a "bad area" in comparison with Detroit or any other US Metro. It's more like a normal lower-middle class neighborhood in anywhere USA.

And COOL pic!! Thanks for posting!! Having been 10 years without being there, that really brings back memories!! And BTW, I think the pic really speaks for itself; I don't think anyone is going to see that picture and say, "Oh my god, what a ghetto!" lol.

Thanks for the replies, everyone. I have decided to turn down the job. I actually went to Burlington and had my relatives show me to some places that were affordable, but none allowed pets. The only ones that did were 1200+, which is just too much for me to live comfortably.
