I'm considering a move to Vermont. I'm focusing in on the Burlington area/northern Vermont. I visited Lake Placid this past spring and fell in love with the area, mountains, lakes, streams everything I grew up with but on a much larger scale. So I decided its time to make a move and start planting my roots somewhere before they dry up. I would love to live in the Adirondack Mountains but I think there is more opportunity nearby in Vermont. I currently live in Morgantown Pennsylvania. I work for a single use medical device manufacture as a Development Engineering Design or Cad Designer. Are there allot of engineering related companies in northern Vermont? I would like to get out of the Medical field if at all possible (to many patents and time to market just sucks). I’m originally from Northwestern Pennsylvania and I love snow, but I haven’t seen much of it here in Morgantown Pa

Thanks

There is a nanotech center that just opened around Albany. Probably better off down that way.

About the only "industry" growing and stable IS medical-related. Since the state is so generally down on business many are leaving as the infrastructure crumbles. Too, the population is aging rapidly.
