GM was a mess and is now more of a mess since the government has started interfering. we now have a house representative introducing a bill to make the new GM liable for the old GM vehicles. IT NEVER ENDS!

When my wife's 2007 Malibu’s lease is over we won't be buying/leasing another GM product. We will give our business to Ford.

It would be much better and healthier for GM to get out of bankruptcy fast and efficiently like Chrysler did, I just don't see that happening though, since GM is a large corporation made up of thousands more employees, plus all of the stockholders, debters, etc.

Even if GM does get out of chapter 11 in say 3 months, they will still be owned by the US government pass that period. It could seriously take GM up to 3-4 years to pay back all of the money they have taken.

Hopefully GM can get a majority of their shares out of government hands as soon as possible, because a boycott bad enough could further hurt the situation.

Actually its some states attorney generals that are fighting this and will fill with the court if not settled. It happened in the Chrysler bankrupsy and many were not pleased. Rememeber that trail lawyers are about the biggest contributer to demcrats and they certain don't want this.

Our government gave $50 billion of our money to General Motors. The very last thing I want to do is purchase a car from GM. Imagine if we had invested even 25 billion in our education system?

Or use teh money to solve the housing crisis as it was voted on by congress. Thge suposed #2 emergrancy in this crisis was supposely the housing plan;that got dumped to bailout two failing auto companies that have shown they can't work for decades.How we have billions funding a stimulus that doesn't stimulate anyhtig but speacil party interest.

I've had Chevy's for about 15 years now. I love my Chevy's but the next auto will be a Toyota.
