In truth, the increase in electric bills 9 years from now cannot be predicted with any accuracy.

Your number is just fearful thinking with little basis in reality.

By 2020 you could have your home off the grid and whatever the poor saps pay who stay on the grid will have little effect on you.

How do you come off the grid? Solar panels wont do it so a comb. solar and generator? it's not really practical and super expensive.

Sure photo voltaics will do it. My home in Truckee, in one of the most heavily snowed upon areas in the country was on solar.

I had less than 10,000 into my system. A week without sun (rare) would require my back up generator, but, if I had put more money in to the system, less generator time.

From Mid November to mid January we had to conserve (we could not run the dryer), but the rest of the year the system worked well.

The only people who think solar doesn't work are those who have not used it.

But don't take my word for it, talk to these guys among many. http://www.solarwindworks.com/

Why not?

It is actually a serious question, now ours is not $30.00 but it is less than $100.00 per month. Now with a limited on grid solar/wind system you can cut that down, and yes you will pay for the system, but, a well designed system will pay for itself.

It is a great feeling to be off grid, all the storms and arguments and price hikes etc mean nothing to you.

You're right some people keep everything on, run their AC all the time, etc. I hear people talk about $200, $300, etc dollar electric bills and I really don't understand how people manage that.

In France we have found that most lights in homes and businesses are on motion sensors. When you leave a room the lights go out, when you enter a room the lights go on. does wonders for your electric bill.

[QUOTE

You cannot convince me that false is true, I suggest you begin your research.

Conservatives have been on the wrong side of American history as long as there has been an America to have a history.

I have asked the same question for years, and really, there is nothing that conservatives have ever done for the good of this country.[/quote]

It becomes sort of a joke, when pressed on the facts of history, Conservatives bail out of the airship.
