hello guys, i am new to the website but have been reading thru alot of the forums and have already found alot of very usefull info. i am a single 26 yr old male. im currently working for carmax which is a car retailer and i have the option of transferring to any location and have been wanting to move to california for some time now. im just not sure what part of cali i should be looking into. my top choices are between san diego, costa mesa, buena park, irvine, or torrence. im basicly looking to be as close to the beach as possible. i dont need much looking for a studio or maybe rent a room since its just me. my budget is about $800 or less, im debt free and my only bills are my car which is only $300 a month including insurance. i currently make about 35k annually, and i will be taking about 3k in saving to cover me untill i start getting paid plus i would start working right away. my main interest is to take advantage of all the outdoor activities california has to offer. surf, hiking, ect.
which is my best option?? just want to be in a safe area, i dont mind driving some. thanks in advance for any advise!!

Pick one and try it out. As a mobile employee and a renter with no baggage you can apparently move wherever so start in SD and work your way up. Or visa verse.

Put this in the San Diego and/or Orange County forum. You'll get more response.
