Just merge SJ back in with SF. The concrete on both sides of San Francisquito Creek and both sides of Dixon Landing Road, looks the same. It is one blob.

Have a separate Central Coast sub-forum for SLO, SB, Monterey and include Santa Cruz too... Seriously you can't keep lumping in Santa Cruz with San Jose--SC native hate San Jose with a passion, and likewise Silicon Valleyites look down on Santa Cruz as some weird hick beach town. Santa Cruz needs to declare it's independance from the San Jose sub-forum and the rest of the Valleys over the hill on CityData. It'd be better to lump Santa Cruz in with Monterey and the rest of the Central Coast. Just sayin'.

As for the central valley, I could see a forum for the San Joaquin Valley (Stockon south to Bakersfield), one for the Sacramento Area, and one for the Sac Valley (Yuba to Redding).

Central Valley would be nice! I mean, it is growing and has enough cities in it to have a forum. Central coast would be nice as well..

I have been pushing for a "Mother Lode" forum for years. Includes many counties.

A central valley forum wouldnt make sense because all of our 3 biggest cities are all too far from each other. Bakersfield should have its own, Fresno its own, and Stockton and Modesto together. As much as the rest of Cali likes to think we are all the same we are all very different areas. And no one should take majin seriously because Sac is one of California's biggest suburbs.

I would like to see Santa Barbara combined with the Ventura County thread.

Ironically, much of the Sacramento forum is threads like "which suburb is best for me?"

So the perception of San Joseans that people in Santa Cruz don't like them is true? Santa Cruzians are always trying to portray themselves as people of tolerance and acceptance...yet they have an irrational hatred for people over the hill. Hopefully not all Santa Cruzians are actually like this.
