Also, I hate to say it but this type of stuff kills american jobs.

I know lots of business owners who outsource to foreign countries as a primary strategy to avoid employment litigation. This includes myself.

I simply cannot afford to lose my business because of a stupid lawsuit. Defense attorneys are expensive.
Is EPLI insurance out of your financial reach?

No it's not. I simply weighed the pros/cons of hiring domestic workers vs foreign workers. The foreign workers significantly outweighed the domestic workers in cost/benefit analysis. 100% of the functions in my business can be preformed by a remote worker.

The cost of the EPLI insurance is just one negative factor against domestic workers. There are many other.

The most disgusting instance I've ever heard of happened to my physical therapist that had MS and was in a wheelchair herself. An attorney from out of the area claimed there was some bs technical issue with non compliance. It costs her thousands. It could have been the attorney listed above from San Diego, that sounds familiar. She said at the time, that there were issues that did need attention, but instead of trying to put any effort into figuring out what was legitimate, he was just shaking people down.

Some people have NO shame.
