Between 20-39...though I'm sure I've at least driven through all of them, if not actually visited them.

Does anyone know why the counties get so small up north?

I've lived in 3, overnighted in at least 25, and been to all the remaining ones on my motorcycle.

Between 40-57. I think I'm missing about 6 or 7.

If you are talking counties that I have been in on en route to other places and maybe only had stopped to fill the tank or a quick fast food meal, it is probably close to 40. If you are talking counties I visited as a main destination for a day or weekend trip, vacation, sporting or cultural event, festival or to visit friends or relatives, then it is between 20-25. Either way, that would still be in the 20-39 zone.

The better question would be, how many of our 58 states has Obama visited.

As far a CA counties go, I've visited at least 45-50 and lived in five from south to north.

Default How many California counties have you visited?

After looking at the map I would say more than 40.

I've driven through or at least stopped in all of them. I'd have stop and think about how many I've stayed in overnight though... I've lived in 3 of them, have close family and friends in about 10 of them that I spent a lot of time in--and probably spent the night in about 28 of them at least.

The thing is I've done a lot of backpacking trips in the Sierra so I'd have to go back and look at what county the parts of the National Parks or National Forests I've slept in on different trips to remember every county I've stayed in. When you're hiking on the John Muir Trail you don't think about whether you're in Madera County or not...

interesting question. Will take a while to count on my fingers.....

I think I have not been in Modoc, I'd have to examine a map closely to see if I have not been elsewhere. I have been all over the state on business and pleasure. East slope and central valley and coast.

Curious as to why you ask.
