When you talk fast food burger there are reasons In N Out rules beside simple taste test. They do things better than other chains do. Everything is made to order. The ingredients are supremely fresh. They prepare all of their meat, buns, fresh cut fries, great shakes. No microwaves, no freezers, no heatlamps. They dont franchise, they treat employees well and pay better so their stores are run extremely well. 100% of their store managers started as employees in their system. You always get top quality as opposed to every other fast food chain that franchises and nobody cares what their food looks like. All of this goes together to make them tops.
Now, saying all that there are more good choices around these days and most have followed the better burger better ingredients model In N Out has employed for years. Chicfila does the same thing with the chicken sandwich.

if they're so good as you make them out to be, then why ain't they anywhere in the other half of the united states where most of the people live.

A lot of what you said are done at quite a few burger joints. Remember its a corporation. Again they certainly ain't the best.

Sounds like you really dont know very much about them.

They are a family owned company that have strict quality control. They do not franchise and will only expand to locations within a certain distance from one of their company owned and run distribution facilities where they prepare the hamburger, make their sauce, bake their buns etc. They built a facility in Dallas a few years ago and are expanding quickly through Texas, but again they do things very deliberately. They may never go to the east coast they have a Southern California image that works throughout the west. They are private and dont release numbers, but Id be surprised if they dont gross more revenue per store than any other chain. The family is extremely wealthy and they dont need the money.

I know enough to know that they certainly ain't the best.

If they're REALLY good and are so popular with many people talking about them, they would of had restaurants in big places on the other side of the country
