Why don't you check Wikipedia. It says:

Metrolink serves Los Angeles, California and the Greater Los Angeles area of Southern California.

This post, and other recent ones you posted are completely incoherent. No, I'm the one who brought up LA and yes I meant that.

Is it possible to have Metrolink service in coastal OC? Perhaps use the old Pacific Electric Newport-Balboa Line?

That would be cool. They should also reconect the Santa Paula line to Santa Clarita.

Would be nice if the Coaster and Metrolink could share the route from DTSD to DTLA so you could travel between the metros without having to charge trains in Oceanside (without having to take more expensive Amtrak)

While they're at it, quit making the OC line end at Oceanside, most of us would take Metrolink to San Diego over Amtrak.

They should just scrap the Coaster. It doesn't really go anywhere. They sometimes borrow each others equipment as it is so just merge them.

It will never happen because no one would allow it. But surely you know there are two San Clemente stops (beach) not to mention San Juan and Laguna Niguel which are very beach close. There is discussion in Laguna Niguel of a shuttle from the Metrolink down Crown Valley to South Laguna.
