Cyber warfare on a larger scale is something most have not really even fathomed or taken seriously. Yet it has become a real and present danger to our national security. Industry experts including those from the Silicon Valley have been working with the Gov't in part to address these issues. But more work is definitely needed. Other countries are enlisting their best and brightest to hack countries including the US.

Beyond national security, if one simply considers the top US companies which directly impact our economy for better or worse, quite a few reside in the Silicon Valley.

I found this book to be a good read:

I wanna see how long the "execs" or even "employees" would survive after the Internet would be cut off, along with all other utilities....big quake scenario....and looters moved in onto unarmed dummies....not long.

Anyway, Peter Thiel is pretty damn smart....may be that's why he's SV billionaire....unlike the brainwashed, CNN-reading ninnies. He knew Trump would win and he stepped up to support him. Anyone who's not an idiot and who knows what data Palantir got (on everyone and their momma), would know Trump is winning the moment Thiel came out at RNC.
