Oh, if you think this thread is strange, you will really trip on this similar one:

The only way we'll ever know if any of the preceding arguments are valid - pro or con - is if the Federal government takes cannabis off the list of Schedule 1 drugs (potentially harmful, no proven benefit). This needs to happen before any serious scientific research can take place. Until then, we have to put up with cyber slugfests in threads like this one, which accomplish nothing.

Basically, supporting your statement, is this report of a study of 10,000 studies on marijuana:
https://www.npr.org/sections/health-...tists-weigh-in

That said, 10,000 studies on marijuana - let me write that again, it is not a mis-print: 10,000 studies on marijuana - have not been able to deliver conclusive proof of either damage or advantage associated with marijuana use. That in itself is a very impressive green light for the magic herb - one unparalled, not even close, by ANY other recreational substance. Every other drug: alcohol, cocaine, meth, all opiates, tobacco, caffeine drinks ... every other recreational drug / substance has deeply documented damage associated with regular use.

Unlike alcohol and cigarettes, marijuana does not carry a safety warning for pregnant women — even when it is sold legally.

Of particular concern, said Dr. Seth Ammerman, a clinical professor of pediatrics at Stanford, is that the potency of THC in marijuana has more than quadrupled since 1983.

A blunt warning from pediatricians: Pot and pregnancy don't mix

I don't think it's all that dangerous for the fetus or a newborn, but there aren't enough studies to prove it either way. But that "warning" sure will give CPS ammunition to start snatching up babies who test positive for THC at birth. CPS child kidnapping is big business
