Any experiences with these uber type services for Vans for moving stuff?
Any recommended company/app?
Any to avoid?
Do you have to ride along in the van with them, or can you meet them at destination in one's own car?
Other issues?

The Costco near me has an Uber-like truck service they recommend. My neighbors have used them but I can't recall the company's name.

Call your nearest Costco. Ask them for a reference.

I just checked Dolly.com. Looks impressive. I could probably use a service like that every now and then.

So I checked Yelp. Dolly doesn't have a lot of reviews. And some of the reviews they have are quite negative.

I may just call the nearby Costco and ask for a Dolly-like recommendation. They may just recommend a traditional short-haul moving service with employees and scheduled delivery appts.

I called the local Costco and they recommend no one for delivery. However, some members have had good luck with O'Sheas in Oceanside. The girl on the phone made sure I understood that Costco's recommends no one. If I need to bring an item back for any reason, they will not refund anything I pay O'Sheas or any delivery service.

I've used Lugg several times, you don't ride with them. They charge based on size of the load vehicle and time (which is typically a crew of two unless otherwise arranged.)

The app is fine - the estimates can be affected by traffic and other issues but is generally fairly accurate.

I've used GoShare and would recommend them - download their app, website is goshare.co
They charge by the minute...not super cheap, however good for when you need them.
