We had our temperature taken every day when we entered the building from late spring 2020 for what seemed like forever. At least a quarter of the time, the no contact thermometer wasn't working.

I remember when hair salons re-opened, the owner of the one I went to took our temperatures and we had to sign a form. She said she was told to do this by the powers that be. Thank goodness those days are over.

By now, over 10 million Californians have had COVID-19; it's doubtful that they all have/had compromised immune systems.

Funny how you and others here don't like it when an out-of-towner says something you don't like and will tell them to go post someplace else but others who don't live in the state are welcome to post as long as they agree with you.

Covid has touched everyone's life in one way or another. No one is exempt. Let them share their experience and stop trying to tell them how they should react or behave. You are so bossy!

I'm glad where I live and get to enjoy life to it's fullest!!
Indeed, I can only imagine how sad these people lives are. Luckily we don’t live in an oppressive state that has lunatics running the asylum. If inept governor told them to jump, they’d ask how high with strict obedience.

Casinos can use tents for dog-based screening. Exempt people who have passed screening or tested negative (with proof) in the past 24 hours. That would be many of the visitors, and no huge number shows up in a short time span anyway unless there is a special event. Compared to other indoor spaces, people spend more time per visit in casinos than almost anywhere and with a relatively high share of elderly (vulnerable) visitors, making it especially imperative to keep the virus out.
No, just the policies and ideas you have are. It’s 2022, time to move on as fear mongering no longer works. Time to follow the science, not backwards and archaic thinking.

These people think they have a monopoly on the forum and truth. It’s entertaining to see how out of touch and draconian some people are in states on here. I guess they want everyone to be miserable and scared like them. No wonder nothing but California plates have flooded my state and city, it’s mind boggling to witness as I’ve never seen such a mass migration.

Also, I've stated before that we are not immortal and shall all pass some day.
No, people with perfectly normal immune systems are getting infected, too. Having a compromised immune system increases the risk.

Isn't that basically what she said? She said anyone can get it (as did you) and you said a compromised immune system increases the risk (which is what she also said). So you're both saying the same thing but in different ways. Why argue about it?

Healthy people are getting it, and thereafter some of them have malfunctioning immune systems. It's a nasty virus. There is nothing scientific or rational about acting like it's almost the common cold.

I can't speak for your area, gh but here in my county, there's no new cases reported. So we must be doing something right. ymmv

Maybe it's time you move your complaints about non-compliance over to the LA section of this site so the people who live in your area will take notice and start acting the way you feel they should.
