Quebec already does this as do a few other provinces like Manitoba and Nova Scotia.

All provinces can dictate language policy to some degree. NB decided to be officially bilingual.

Saskatchewan is being taken to court at the moment in a long-standing saga over its insistence that it is English only and the old NW Territories legislation that says it should be bilingual.

Not really related to Quebec directly. The areas you are talking about are not generally anglophone areas where francophone influence is being pushed. They were generally originally francophone areas where it was suppressed and now they are trying to bring it back.

First Nations groups also exert some influence over language policy in some parts of Canada. Nunavut is moving in this direction for example.

It is my opinion that Québec should have total control over our immigration. This isn't possible without indepandance however.

Pierre Peladeau was once president of a company that included a right-wing TV network. Now he belongs to a left-wing political party. Contradiction?

1. He is a businessman

2. Right wing news in anglo Canada convince anglo Canadians that Québec needs to go. Sun news has many articles that rile up the kick out Québec sentiment, it's only good for separatism

3. Politics in Québec is very different from anglo Canada. Many things that we do in Québec would be right wing in anglo Canada, like when it comes to religion and language, but it would to be left-wing on other things like economy. It is almost like owning a news station in a (really) different country.

Moldy look him up on Google and you'll discover he owns a lot more than just a tv station he owns the main cable distribution provider for Quebec (Videotron) along with tv stations and newspapers.
In his bid to become leader of Quebecs separatist party he claims to have relinquished control of these media assets but a man with that much power and money has a lot of strings he can pull.

Here i did it for you=

I would think that on religious issues, most Quebecers are left-wing.

I knew from looking at Wikipedia that he was president of a media empire. I just mentioned the TV station as part of it.
