The whole title is even childish, its obvious you anti-Trump people don't like walls but you want to build one yourself on your southern border come on guys really we are better than walls
This will hopefully be resolved this week. Maybe. Sigh.
As of right now, there was a temporary block placed on the "ban" last Friday by a Seattle judge. The feds have appealed that stay and it has been heard and is awaiting a ruling from the court of appeals. Even if the temporary stay is overturned though, there are other states waiting in the wings with a challenge to the ban.
I am SO not in favor of this ban for more reasons than I can state. But a huge part of the problem that still exists now is that it was done in such haste and with so little forethought that the agents at the boarder have NO idea what they're doing.
The woman was denied entry not because of Trump's EO (as she has a Canadian passport and was born in Morocco), but rather it was the decision of the U.S. border officers.
It is a PRIVILEGE to enter a foreign country (not a RIGHT), and, on the other hand, U.S. border officers have the right to deny entry to their country of any foreign subject on the grounds of national security (they found some videos on the woman's mobile phone they considered as sufficient evidence to deny her entry). The officers didn't use the executive order as a reason, since the woman was not from one of 7 countries.
I don't feel one bit of sympathy for that woman. If I'd been one of those American border officials I'd have refused her entry too. I think what she did was stupid, arrogant and deliberately provocative at a time when tempers are high and paranoia and confusion reigns. If she had any good sense she would have waited for the dust to settle south of the border before attempting to cross the border again, but no, she decides to go on a "shopping trip" and poke the tiger with a sharp stick and provoke trouble just to see what would happen. I think she deserves every bit of trouble that she asked for and got. Stupid, arrogant woman.
