Do they have an RV park or anything in Yellowknife so people can experience a winter in the great northern territories? It would be fun to experience the most wicked and extreme winter weather on the planet!

You're kidding, right? An RV with its 1.5 inches of insulation in -40 temperatures?

Even with that insulation they do stay warm even in very cold weather.

Where are you living now, KevK?

"Very-cold" is meaning what, 20 F? That equals -7 C.
20 F would be a HEAT WAVE in Yellowknife for Dec, Jan or Feb.

95% of the time I see their forecasts, their highs are bewteen -26 C to -37 C.
Convert that to Fahrenheit that's around -15 F to -34 F.

That's not counting the chill of a hint of wind (if it gets windy), humidity (they're on a giant lake) or the overnight lows.

Overnight lows? I see them normally getting down as low as -45 or -46 C.
That's like -50 F.
*Again, not factoring in windchill.

Well I would have you know that we live in are Rv full time and in the -40 weather and love every min. of it. We just made sure that we bought a fifth Wheel that came with full winter package and we looked every where for one and the only one that is any good for that weather is Kz Escalade. It has the the under belly that is heated and all the hook-ups are centralized so that you can keep them warm and we put skirting around it and put lights up in the hook-up department and taped the water hose and we where good to go... never had a problem. If you would like to know more we would love to tell you .. as when we decided to do this there was no one that could help us and we are more them willing to help anyone !!!! Best life ever. Sounds like a fun winter to me. Not that I would want it every winter but for one winter it might be an experience.
