Did she ever hear the phrase "3 dollar legs"?
I heard that once as a teen in the 1970s. Road repairmen called out while I biking in the Summer. I thought it was flattery because we only had one and two dollar bills at the time. Three is special. My brothers said it was an offensive comment. I never understood the comment.
