Tried it, didn't like it.

It was okay mixed with blueberry juice, but I didn't like it solo.

Here we go again.

Yes there might be some advantages to pomegranite juice, apple juice, orange juice, cranberry juice... But the extent that some hype it up to, it might be a tad bit much.

I drink a glass of Diet Cranberry Pomegranate Juice just about every day. I like it and have been told it has health benefits.

I don't know about those other juices but there are some reputable sites reporting on this research with pomegranate juice.

researchers are exploring the potential of pomegranate juice to slow or reverse increasing PSA levels in men who have undergone treatment for localized prostate cancer. Pomegranate juice is rich in phytochemicals, substances that have been shown in laboratory studies to inhibit cancer growth and spread. Men in this trial will be randomly assigned to drink a special preparation of pomegranate juice or a placebo drink daily for up to one year.

It is worthy of a look and more study to see if the findings do, in fact, hold up.

whatever benefits it does have with respect to anti-oxidants and other nutrients, i think the fact that's it's very high in fructose overrides it. fructose has always been touted as 'safer' for diabetics because of the differences found in insulin reactions, but we now know that high amounts of fructose is terribly unhealthy for anyone, especially diabetics. i feel that drinking almost pure fructose concentration is a problem because it all goes straight to your liver, and your liver makes triglycerides out of excess fructose and pushes it out into your blood. the same can be said for drinking any fruit juice in large quantities. personally, i recommend eating whole fruit instead.

I love pomegranate juice and I love pomegranates too! They are soooo good but then again I like sour stuff! A lot of people I know don't like pomegranates for this reason.

I mainly drink organic pomegranate juice. I'am not sure if fructose is a problem with the organic versions. I'll have to check the label.

Isn't fructose a natually occuring form of sugar? having done some reading, it shows more potential for heart health than cancer.

There are studies going on.
