If the cancer doesn't get you, the temperature will. This seems somewhat snake oilish. Any sort links to studies or concepts?

Calling it "snake oilish" w/o justification is a bit harsh and unjustified. It's not like I'm talking about waving a rhino horn over one's head. Anyway, I make no dramatic claims (or any, really) and in fact applaud a healthy skepticism - the key word being "healthy." ie taken too far, that can lead to a closed mind, which is as dangerous as one that's too open. Sorry don't have links offhand but will investigate. Don't buy that hot tub just yet.

Edit: here are a number of links, admittedly most of which I haven't read yet.....

Also here is a "generic" explanation of the concept:

It might be harsh. However false hope is even worse. It seem this concept is pretty preliminary. I am not ready to embrace it, nor totally dismiss it either.

Same here. No idea where you get the "false hope" thing. It is simply a possibility which has shown promise but is not as yet a proven reliable supplementary (aka "adjuvant") therapy.

Debate the topic at hand and leave the snide personal comments off the board. If you throw an idea out there posters are free to embrace the idea or call it snake oil. Get used to comments of all kinds if you post. Don't take anything personally. And don't retaliate. If you have a problem with a post or think it is a TOS violation use the report button rather than responding yourself.

?? I hope you aren't talking to me. Please point me to one "snide comment" or "retaliation." Frankly I don't see what your problem w/this thread or any of its posts are. I'm fine with rj, didn't take anything personally and just stated my case - he did the same.
