~ $100 / month for liability on a youthful BOY (less than 1/2 that for a girl)

mine = ~ $30/month liability with HIGH coverage limits (250k/500k). includes comp and road service (which I have never used... <$1/ month).

I also add a collision binder for rental cars ~$12 / month (I travel 3-4 weeks / month)

We pay about $130 per month - total - for 3 cars and a truck. We carry liability only, my wife & I are accident & violation free, and no longer have kids at home.

Our rate is lowered partly because we have our all our houses & vehicles with one company.

I can tell you that I pay $96 per month, but I have a flawless driving record for the past 41 years, and I am not insuring any teens. Thus, the amount that I pay has little or no bearing on what you have to pay--with different conditions.

Unless you can find people from the same state, who drive the exact same vehicles as you, for the same number of miles per year, with the exact same-aged teens, with the exact same driving records as all of the members of your family, and with the exact same coverage, finding out what random strangers pay for their insurance is...almost useless information.

I'm a young driver, (under 25), with a 2001 Camaro Z28 and two speeding tickets on record, I pay $134 a month for full coverage with Progressive. However, I recently added the snapshot plugin to my car to monitor my driving habits. Hopefully I can get some positive feedback from this device and save a couple of extra bucks, it's pretty high...

WOW, that is really high! What state are you in? If there isn't multiple tickets on your records, that has got to be much higher than what you should be paying. You should find an independent agent in your area, they will be able to quote you through several carriers and know which will give you the best rate. It all depends on your situation, as all carriers have different tiering formulas. But 800 a month, if you aren't all habitual drunk drivers driving Porches, seems insanely high.

If you have 2 speeding tickets already, be careful with that "snapshot". Also, a Z28 is expensive to insure, especially at your age & 2 moving violations. Do you qualify for any discounts?
