thank you for the advice everyone.....we have been in the process of making me durable power of attorney...my dad was in the hospital last month due to a pulmonary embolism and the doctor even suggested I be the poa/executor due to the fact that am the one taking care of him..before my mom passed away they put my older sister as the executor ...but as the years went by my dad wanted to change it because they pretty much do not have a relationship anymore since my mom passed away my dad is her stepfather......I have looked around and was told that all I need is a paralegal to draft an amendment to change the name on the living trust..but it has been hard to find the right one..many have told me my dad would have to write out a whole new living trust so we have been in limbo....any advice on this would be greatly appreciated? and anyone know any good paralegal services? I live in Covina, ca.....the san Gabriel valley area....
