Gracie is almost 14 and had always been a healthy cat until two weeks ago. When I took her to the vet, he found she had diabetes. I was giving her insulin and that was not helping so I took her back and now she has an e-coli
infection which appears to be ravaging her whole little system She has lost 4 pounds in two weeks and can no longer even stand up.

She has begun a course of anti-biotics, but they do not sdeem to be helping.

I am hoping that your good wishes will help her so please do remember her in your prayers.

Thank you so much, nancy

Hi Nancy,

This is very worrisome to you I know. I'm not sure what is going on here but maybe it'll begin to improve in a few days. But til then, I will pray for Gracie & you to deal w/ this. Her age is older but maybe her resistance is still strong enough to turn this around but it takes time. We all here will support you during this time, & feel free to please update as you can re: her condition. May God Bless you & Gracie.

Hey, Nancy
I know how much she means to you - my little Gracie cat is praying for her namesake right now - as will I.

She probably will need to few days for the antibiotics to take hold. Sending the best for you both

Nancy, (((HUGS))). I am including Gracie in my prayers right as I am writing this. I pray Gracie receives a MIRACLE just like my Molly just did!!! May angels comfort you during this nightmare, and may they help your baby get well and quickly!!!

God bless you!

{{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}}} and prayers for Gracie and you. I know she means so much to you and how much she loves you.

If she isn't eating her blood sugar could be really low, that happened with my Rikki Tikki. She was totally out of it.

Antibiotics should work on the e-coli and then you just need to get the blood sugar under control. RT lost 5lbs when she first got diabetes.

as a fellow diabetic I can relate to Gracie's ills. I used to have a Gracie cat too and even named a daughter after a cat (well middle name). Stay strong and be brave.
